If your heating system isn't running consistently or won't turn on, then:

 

• Make sure the Emergency Switch (on a red plate usually located at the top of the stairs leading to the basement) is in the "On" position.

• Check the fuel level on the gauge located at the top of the tank.

• Check if the fuse or circuit breaker controlling your heating system has tripped.

• Make sure your thermostat is set for a temperature that is at least five degrees above the current room temperature.

• When the thermostat display flashes a repeating message, the batteries will likely need to be replaced.

• Be sure the power switch on the side of the heating system is in the "On" position.

• Press your system’s "Reset" button ONE TIME ONLY and then call us if the system shuts off again. DO NOT press the "Reset" button more than once.
